What are your masks made out of and how do I care for them?
Masks are made using three layers of cotton (the CDC recommends three layers: one to your skin, one layer to act as a filter, and one exposed to the outside world). They are machine washable and we recommend using a mesh laundry bag as well as the delicate setting. You can place them in the dryer on low or hang/ lay flat to dry (note, they may shrink slightly if put in the dryer, so I do recommend hanging/ laying flat to dry if you have any concerns).
What do you use around the ears?
We use a super soft elastic around the ears.
Do your masks have a metal nose clip?
They don’t because the style I use is very contoured! We all wear glasses over here, and find that with this style, we can wear them comfortably. If you also wear glasses, make sure that you put the mask on first and then your glasses for the most comfortable fit.
Are they adjustable?
Since I make 4 sizes, my masks generally fit really well! If you do have the rare problem of the elastic being too big, we sell cord lock elastic adjusters to make the fit a bit snugger. What size should I order?
- Toddler – generally good for kids age 2-5 (approx. 4.3 inches from nose to chin)
- Big kid/ small adult- generally good for kids age 6-12, smaller faced/ petite humans (approx. 4.75 inches from nose to chin)
- Adult- generally appropriate for teenagers, averaged size faced humans (approx. 5.5 inches from nose to chin)
- Large Adult- for larger size faced humans (approx. 6.5 inches from nose to chin)
When will my masks ship?
Since all masks are made to order, please allow 1-2 weeks for processing. I will, and do often, ship sooner when possible!
Can I return or exchange my masks?
Because all masks are custom made in the size and print you choose, we do not accept returns unless they arrive damaged. If you have any issues with your order or products, please contact us at hello@shop.inliteralcolor.com immediately so we can work together to create a solution!
